What does the Valtech TV contain?

The Valtech TV gives you access to a group of contents such as webcasts, videos, reports, broadcastings, software demos, podcasts and other Rich Media contents dedicated in solving Information Systems problems. The whole resources access is totally free.

Webcasts can be “Audiocasts” (synchronised audio with slideshows and tables of contents), “Videocasts” (synchronised video with slideshows and tables of contents), or “Democasts” (synchronised audio with slideshows and software demos). Most of these Webcasts require the Flash 7 plugin to function properly.

How does the Valtech TV work?

The Valtech TV runs on Brainsonic Internet TV Solution. It requires the Flash 7 plugin. It is divided in 4 parts: the MediaNavigator Zone (located at the bottom, enabling you to navigate among the Resources), the Detail Zone (information about the selected or viewed elements), the Audio/Video Player Zone and the Playlist Zone.

The MediaNavigator Zone

 
The MediaNavigator allows navigating among the content. Several tabs are reachable, each one providing a different view of the resources :

News 

Gives access to latest resources chronologically ordered from the newest to the oldest. Arrows on the right and left hand sides let you scroll among the Resources. According to your preferences, it is also possible to switch from the thumbnail mode to the list mode.

Most viewed

Filters the most rated contents during the past month.

Explorer

Enables to thematically navigate among the content arborescence.

Podcasts/RSS feeds

Enables to subscribe to different tabs (as well as the playlist) via RSS feeds and allows downloading contents in podcasts flows. The tunes player is required to take advantage of podcasts.

Search

Offers a research by keywords (Titles and summaries are indexed).

It is possible to drag and drop the MediaNavigator content toward the Player or the Playlist as soon as it is from an audio, video or webcast content.


The Detail Zone

The Detail Zone provides information about selected or currently playing items. Category, title, summary, speaker, hits, technicity, user’s votes. With one click, you can vote yourself by selecting the number of stars you think the content is worth.

The Detail Zone is mainly made to allow viewing the content. If it’s an Audiocast or a Videocast, the “Start Webcast” link will appear. This link will open the Webcast into a Pop-up window (Look out!! Keep an eye on the Mozilla Firefox Pop-up blocker !!). Other links are available according to the viewed content's type.

“Download Podcast” enables to download the whole Webcast content in MP3 format (not just a sample!). When it is about a White Paper, an Event or a Website, the Detail Zone gives the hyperlink to access the content.

Remember to register in order to access to the whole content.

 

The Player Zone

The Player Zone allows reaching some audio and video extracts from Detail Zone and Playlist contents.

The Playlist Zone

The Playlist Zone allows you to bookmark contents while scrolling among the MediaNavigator:

You can drag and drop contents toward the playlist for a future listing. At any moment, you can start the playlist: a sample of each Audio and Video content is playing while the Detail Zone is permanently synchronizing itself.
